This plant comes in its original nursery pot and is set inside of a 7″ x 7″ wicker basket that is lined with plastic. Plant liner is included to catch any extra water from waterings.

(Also known as a Rubber Tree)

Ficus Burgundy plants like bright indirect light. Make sure not to expose them to hot, direct sunlight or the leaves could become burnt.

Water when the top 50%-75% of the soil is dry. Water until liquid flows through the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard any water that has accumulated in the saucer. If your soil is dry all the way through, the plant may not absorb the water. Remove the plant and liner from the basket, fill the plant liner half full of water and place the plant back in the liner. Once the water is all absorbed, add a little water to the top of the plant. If no water comes out of the bottom and into the liner add a little more. If there is excess water in the bottom of the liner 30 mins after watering, dump it out before placing it back in the basket. This will help prevent root rot.

Ficus Burgundy plants also like a humid environment so an occasional misting on the leaves can help the plant succeed. Wiping off any dust on the leaves can also help the plant grow.

This plant can also be pretty dramatic and likes consistency. They do not like to be moved around or have any temperature changes.

The Ficus Burgundy is mildly toxic to humans and pets. It can cause vomiting if ingested.
